How to Use Halawa Finger Wax
To get the best results and avoid skin irritation, follow these general steps:
1. Preparation
- Clean the skin: Wash the target area with soap and water to remove oils, lotion, or sweat.
- Dry completely: Pat the skin completely dry. You can apply a dusting of baby powder to absorb residual moisture.
2. Heating (If Required)
- Check consistency: Finger wax works best when it is pliable like soft candy.
- Warm gently: If it feels too hard, place the container in warm water for a few minutes or microwave it in short 5–10 second bursts. Do not make it hot.
3. Application & Removal
- Scoop: Take a small piece of wax (about the size of a walnut) using your fingers.
- Knead: Stretch and knead the wax a few times until it becomes smooth and slightly opaque.
- Apply against hair growth: Firmly smooth the wax over your skin in the opposite direction of your hair growth.
- Pull with hair growth: Hold your skin taut with one hand. With the other hand, quickly flick or pull the wax off in the same direction as your hair growth to minimize hair breakage and skin irritation.
4. Post-Wax Care
- Rinse: Wipe away any sticky residue easily with plain water (since Halawa is water-soluble).
- Soothe: Apply a gentle moisturizing lotion, aloe vera gel, or a cold compress to calm any redness.
